Thanks, Dad for Teaching Me!
My Dad taught me a new way to ride the bike today! Special Moment!
Today was a very special day. I rode my bike with my Dad like any other day. But, today was different. My Dad asked me why did I not mount the bike the correct way. I see my Dad mount on the bike like mounting on a horse. I wished I could do the same but didn’t have enough courage to do it or even ask my Dad how to do it due to embarrassment.
But, today was the day. My Dad told me to see how he did it and explained very simply how it works. Right away on my third try, I was able to accomplish it. I thought it was a fluke and already succeeded many times.
The reason why I was able to learn really quickly was because of my Dad’s very simple instructions. Both hands on the handlebar and put one foot on the pedal use the other foot to push the bike forward once momentum is made swing your leg over the back of the bike and wala!
I later came home and showed my mother and she was pretty amazed I was able to get it. It was a special moment between my parents and me today.
I am truly thankful for my Dad’s teaching. It is a blessing I am able to learn from him even after so many years. Even if I am all grown up to be an adult I am still learning new things from my Dad. I don’t know why but that just makes me very happy. So, happy in fact, I just had to write this down.
Thanks, Dad!
