How to See Your Saved Passwords on Major Web Browsers!

Google Chrome

Method 1!

Step 1: Click your Chrome Profile icon next to the 3 dot button.

Step 2: Click on the Key icon next to the square icon. You should see three icons below your Gmail please select the key icon and you should see all your saved passwords!

Method 2!

Step 1: Click the 3 dot button on the top upper right corner of Chrome.

Step 2: Click “Settings” on the drop-down menu!

Step 3: On the right side menu in Chrome settings click on “Autofill”

Step 4: Click on “Passwords”

Tip for Chrome!

Turn on Sync and once you go to the new computer and turn on Google Sync on that new device all your saved passwords will move over with your bookmarks and settings! Here is how you turn on Sync!

Step 1: Click your Chrome Profile icon next to the 3 dot button in the upper right corner of Chrome!

Step 2: Click on “Turn On Sync”

Step 3: Sign in using your Gmail and Gmail password

You should now be synced. If you click your Chrome Profile icon next to the 3 dots and see Sync is on the drop-down menu you should be good to go.

Also another tip for you! Please use a Strong computer password! Anyone can view your saved password if they have your computer password. Your computer password is basically the only thing that is protecting your other saved password so have a pretty strong one. This goes pretty much to all web browsers listed here!

Mozilla Firefox

Method 1!

Step 1: Click the 3 Line button in the upper right corner!

Step 2: Click “Password” on the drop-down menu!

That is it! Super easy for Firefox!

To turn on Firefox Sync so you can have your firefox passwords move to your new device!

Step 1: Click the 3 Line button in the upper right corner!

Step 2: Click on “Sign in” next to Sync and Save data on the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Create your Firefox account if you don’t have one and or log in using your firefox user email and password. You should now be synced in Firefox just like Google Sync.

Apple Safari

Method 1!

Step 1: Click on Safari located at the top Apple Menu Bar!

Step 2: Click on the “Passwords” tab and put in your computer password, Touch ID, or Face ID depending on what Apple Device you are using!

Method 2!

Step 1: Go to System Preferences usually located on the drop-down menu when you click the Apple Logo on the top left corner!

Step 2: Click on “Passwords” the key icon in System Preferences.

Microsoft Edge

Step 1: Click the Gear Icon “Settings” or “Settings and more”

Step 2: Select “Profiles” and then “Passwords”

Internet Explorer

Not many people use Internet Explorer anymore but if you still use it I have found a link that shows step-by-step with pictures included in helping you find your passwords Click Here!

Brave

I have heard many good things about Brave! I have one of my fellow I.T colleagues using this browser because it protects you from internet trackers and abrasive cookies!

Opera

Here is how you can access your saved passwords on Opera another pretty decent web browser. Click Here!
