Member-only story
The 29th word is “Werk” I have been told that it means “To do something to an exceedingly excellent capacity.”
Today’s word I found out by research comes from the word “work”. If you do something well then the word “Werk” is used. It is pretty amazing how you can change one letter from a commonly used word and make it into slang.
I also did some personal research and found a whole section on digitalcultures.net on some history and origin of the word, Werk. If you have time why don’t you check it out? Direct link below:
Final Test: Attempt to Use the Word/Phrase!
I am going to do this on all episodes. I will try to attempt to use these words. I am going to write three sentences. Make sure all Gen Z that I am using this term correctly and comment me that I am correctly using it or I am not using it correctly.
- I try to werk really hard to do my best in life.
- I don’t have any werk dance moves.
- I try to werk in everything I do.
Thanks for reading this friends. I hope you can do way better than me in using the word “Werk”.
Feel free to help me out if you can, and let me know in the comments if I used “Werk” correctly. Thanks and I hope to see you all next episode!
